Angel Wings

Hey~

It’s been a while since we chatted!!! Where have you been? J

I am leaving actually, to a conference for missionaries and leaders in Hungary.  Usually this conference is only held in Austria, this year they split it up so those of us who minister in Eastern Europe have an easier time of going to such a conference (going to Austria is wonderful, but expensive, even by train)!

I have posted a few new pics (just three, when I return I will delete the old and put on more new, especially pics of my new place).  Take a “look see”.

One thing about this conference is that I will see my good friend Oksana who has been attending the college there in Hungary.  I don’t know which I am more excited about, going to the conference, or seeing Oksana!  Now that I have moved to Poltava, we won’t see much of each other during her holiday breaks.  God knows and knew and it is all in His hands.

Pray for smooth border crossings without being hassled by customs police please.  There are some of us who are traveling to this conference who do not have current registration here in Ukraine (including myself).  We have to be registered after 6 months of our last registration or three months of first arriving.  Mine is about a month and half overdue, others have never been registered. We could be fined as little as $70/per person or more (depending on how much they want to hassle us). PLUS, being black, Ukraine border patrol have a hard time figuring out that I am actually American and not African, surely my mom or grandma is African they usually ask me.  There are many Africans in Ukraine illegally-unfortunately.  God knows. 

So, all that to so is,   Pray for God’s grace in this situation, $70 could buy me a new pair of tennis shoes which I badly need.  God knows, and I know that He is watching over us completely.  

By the way, it is the season for fresh fruit and I have been enjoying my favorite fruit, strawberries!! Last year and the year before my stomach because of my illness, could not digest them, now it seems as if the stomach is working well! Praise God!

Well, I shall post more when I return. Have a GREAT two weeks, enjoy the beginning of summer for those in school and for those working, take some time to enjoy God’s creation.  You never know, you might just hear the sound of Angel Wings. J
